National Association for the Advancement of Colored People

About

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), promotes diversity and inclusion. We are here to educate the community about the marginalization of people, promote a safe space to discuss adverse and often times revolutionary topics. The NAACP advocated for those whose voices might not be loud enough alone for most to hear. We provide a way for our community to unite and create a very much needed change, not only in our immediate surroundings, but hopefully on a grander scale as well.

The NAACP, as a registered organization at Stony Brook University is committed to promoting a safe and vibrant campus community. In receiving annual recognition through the Department of Student Engagement and Activities, no individual or group affiliated with the NAACP will take any action or create a situation which recklessly or intentionally endangers mental or physical health or involves the forced consumption of liquor or drugs for the purpose of initiation into or affiliation with this organization. The leaders and members of the NAACP also agree to abide by all aspects of the Stony Brook University Conduct of Student Responsibility, University policies and Federal, New York State and Local laws.
